Comm. Dale V.C. Holness
As a Lauderhill Commissioner, Comm. Holness worked with city staff to increase home ownership by revamping the Affordable Housing Down-payment Assistance Program, hired grant writers to bring in $30-million in additional housing revenue, and worked to increase homestead exemptions for senior citizens.
A founding member of The Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), which now includes over 310 businesses and is one of the most diverse chambers in Broward County. Commissioner Holness gives of himself, he is also active in many local and international civic organizations including: Broward County Children’s Services Board; Haitian American Leadership Organization, Member; HIV Planning Council, Board Member; Fort Lauderdale-Broward Enterprise Zone, Vice Chair; Broward League of Cities; Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization, Caribbean Democratic Club, Broward Housing Council, Member; and NAACP Life Member.
