Gwyndolen Clarke-Reed

Gwyn served 12 years on the Deerfield Beach City commission and started a summer employments and mentoring program for youths ages 13-15 which is still in operation. She served as President of the Broward League of Cities, the first Deerfield Beach government official ever to hold the post and the first woman of color. Her most recent honors include recognitions as ICABA 2012, 100 most accomplished Caribbean Americans; as a shining star “Light of the Community” by the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce;2012 Latino Who’s Who and was recently inducted into the Broward Senior Hall of Fame for the Class of 2013.

Gwyn is a retired educator and a mother of two, Vincent and Veronica Rose.
